'Likes' problem :(

  Some blogs ‘Likes’ button is working but other blogs it isn’t;
  also I’m getting ‘Likes’ on my posts on both blogs but none showing, all have disappeared;
  please could someone say what’s happening, thanks.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  I don’t know why it’s happening like that on your blog but I do know they’re changing things again – like buttons showing on home pages of a lot of people’s blogs. Hopefully it’ll right itself soon.

  I’ll give the ‘Techy Hamsters’ behind the scenes time to sort it out :D

  p,s. the term ‘Techy Hamster’ isn’t an insult, it’s just a thing we call the ‘behind the scenes folks who are up all night fixing stuff for us; it’s something to do with keeping the wheels turning lol :)

  Hi, I’m interested in this because I’m quite new to WordPress (Sagas of Iceland Penny), only involved since December, and I don’t understand “like” at all. I’ve received some emails from WordPress saying so-and-so “likes” my blog, but I don’t have a Like button on my blog, just the Follow button. Should there be a Like button on everybody’s blog? thanks!

  I have flagged this thread for Staff attention as I don’t see any like buttomn or social network sharing icons below your posts. Please confirm your settings in Sharing.

  Thanks both of you, I visited the two support documents suggested by timethief and have just confirmed my settings in Sharing. Likes is “on for all posts”, and Sharing has some enabled categories also… so I don’t know why these buttons don’t show. I’ll be glad of some Staff attention!

  There was an error yesterday that was fixed this morning and no it appears the same issue has arisen again, which is why I flagged the thread for Staff attention.

  Suddenly my problem is solved. I revisited my current post, clicked on the “1 comment” message at the bottom, and then not only the comment appeared, but also a like message with gravatar, ande the Like and Reblog buttons showed up on my Admin bar beside Follow. Idon’t remember ever disengaging all those things, but if I did, this one click brought them all back.
