Limit home page to summary of blog posts

I would like to create a site with articles on one specific domain (namely pensions in Belgium). Everytime there is a new law or interesting article, I would like to write a short summary and copy that law or article to the blog. What would be the best way to do?

I’ve tried to copy some articles and laws onto a blog that should appear on the home page, but these blogs are too lengthy. Would it be possible to have the summaries on the home page and include a link to the full article to another page of the blog site?

    Thanks for your answer

    Ivan

You can use the more tag to display only the beginnings of posts in your front page.

Or you can use the nextpage tag to split content into a sequence of numbered pages.

Or you can have short summaries as posts, with links to pages where the full content is published.

There is also the “excerpt” function (for post summaries), but in the front page it only works with a handful of themes. It works with more themes in the category or monthly archives pages – in which case you’ll need a static front.

Also: a static front page for summaries, linking to posts with the full content.
