Limit no. of displayed posts per category

  I don’t know if this has been answered already so I’ll just proceed. I’ve just started my blog “cvphased | MECHA CATALOGUE” and was wondering if there’s a way to limit the number of posts displayed whenever a category is clicked. Here’s an example, as seen, it shows all posts under the category ‘Updates’ up to the very start. Can I limit the number of posts displayed to let’s say 5 then an ‘older posts’ link will just appear that will display say the next 5 posts under the same category?

  There is one setting for the number of posts per page, and it will affect all post related pages (archives, main page, categories and tags pages. That setting is at settings > reading.

  Yes, I’ve applied that setting and it works… partially. My posts page show only 5 entries, and the search results only throw 5 at a time. However that doesn’t work for post categories.
