Limit number of posts

Hello – I’m currently using the Publication theme and can’t seem to limit the number of posts that show up on the homepage. I’ve changed the number of posts under the “READING SETTING” but it does not change and still show about 20 posts. Any help will be appreciated.

The site linked to above presently has the Ixion theme applied, not Publication. However, that shouldn’t make any difference. There’s no reason that I can think of that the posts per page setting at Reading Settings wouldn’t be producing the set number of posts per page, so I’ve called for staff attention. They will investigate and respond here.

Hi @sailingpups, right now this site has 47 sticky posts. I suspect that is the cause: things can get a bit squirrelly if you have more sticky posts than what can fit on a single page.
Would you mind if we cleared all stickies for you completely from our end? Then you can re-stick one or two at the top if needed.

As a side note, I noticed most of your posts have far too many tags and categories too, at least if you want them to appear in the reader:
https://wordpress.com/support/topics/I can’t edit that on my end, so you might want to just go through each post, remove the sticky, and remove all but 10-15 tags+categories so just the most relevant topics are included.
