limit on users

I want to add 30 users to my blog with posting privileges. The screen says the limit on users is 10.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I have a feeling that this just means you can only add 10 people at a time (in order to stop people spamming lots of email addresses), although I’m not completely sure. Does it work if you add the 30 new authors in 3 groups of 10?

Not sure. I’m new to WordPress and creating blogs. I was doing OK until I saw the limit on emails that can be added as users. Also, I’m not sure how to add users in three groups because the users must be able to add comments on the various posts as part of a college class.

Add 10 at a time – it’s an anti spam thing – no real limit to the users –
I suspect the software has a limit somewhere in the many thousands – but nobody has ask a developer to dig through the code to check

Also I am unclear on the best “role” the students in my class should be assigned. I presume either “author” or “contributor” since they must be able to comment.

Most anyone can comment (I can comment on your site since it is public) – if you want them to be able to write articles and post content then Author or Contributor is the best – then a rouge student can’t damage your site

Author can publish their own content and edit it after it is published – but they can’t edit another persons content

Thanks to both auxclass and hallluke. I’ll designate the students as authors while trying to add 10 emails followed by 10 and 10 more.
