Limit post number in home page in Penscratch

    Hi,
    I have a blog on wordpress.com and using Penscratch theme. I would like to limit post number on home page. I have changed options/read/number to 1 but noting changed.

    Doyou have any idea?

    If you wish to show only one post on your blogs page, besides changing Blog pages show at most value to 1, you should also disable infinite scrolling by un-selecting To infinity and beyond checkbox on the same page. Then only your blog page will display a single post with Older Posts button to load the next post.

    To quote an FAQ on Infinite Scroll support guide:

    You can’t change the number of posts that load during Infinite Scroll. (The Settings → Reading → “Blog pages show at most” option takes effect when Infinite Scroll is disabled.)

    With infinite scrolling enabled blog page always displays seven posts at a time regardless of the value of Blog pages show at most field, as you have noticed on your blog.
