Limit posts on front page

Is there a way to limit the number of posts on the front page? The featured section is great but the bottom section includes every post, can this be reduced to 3-5 if possible? Thank you

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hello intensivenurse,

Your site uses the Canard theme, and yes, that theme provides a way to set the number of non-featured blogs posts that appear on the front page.

You need to pay attention to two settings: (1) number of blog posts to display, and (2) Infinite Scroll.

To get to these controls, choose My Site, then Settings (from the left column), then from the main column, choose Writing. Under Writing, scroll down to the Content Types section. Under the bold Blog Posts heading, set the number of non-featured posts that you want to appear on the front page. Be sure to click the Save Settings button after you make the change. (note: this setting applies to all pages that display blog posts)

Next, you want to make sure the Infinite Scroll feature is off. Continue scrolling down to Theme Enhancements. In the Theme Enhancements section, you will see the (on/off) setting for Infinite Scroll. You want it set to off. If Infinite Scroll is on, it takes precedence, and all posts display with scrolling.

Best wishes from the son of another intensive nurse! The Internet was before my mother’s time, but she was very invested in her profession. And she was especially drawn to the challenges of ICU. I was a proud son of what she was able to do for people on an ordinary (for her) work day.

Thank you Drizzleblocks for your help. There is a nice little community of healthcare professionals all creating and sharing resources (free open access) so anyone can access around the world, especially lower income settings. Cheers
