Limit Posts show on main page

  Hi all
  I am trying to find a way just to show posts from one or two Categories
  I have like 400 Categories and only want “news” and one other posts to be shown on the main page

  If you look at my site ” http://www.myanimeisland.com “
  It shows all the videos down the middle column i dont want this
