Limiting Blog Main Page Posts Isn't Working!

  This has been driving me nuts, I’m trying to limit the number of posts on my main page to 3 but it wont work no matter what I do. Via the Appearance>Reading Show Posts doesn’t work.

  Furthermore my recent posts at the bottom are stacked on top of each other and I would really like them to come up like a grid or something more visually appealing!!

  Please help this has been going on forever!

  This is the WordPress.COM support forum. You need to post to the WordPress.ORG support forum for help with your site because it is not hosted by WordPress.COM.

  WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate and different http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.

  Yes I’m aware my dear, but unfortunately I’ve had no luck in that endeavour and I was hoping to reach out to the highly insightful group that you have here in the .com world :D..

  Only because I know that you folks are so kind do I plead and ask for a little bit of guidance… If you don’t mind??

  No we don’t. WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG run different versions of some themes with the same names.

  I thought that, but I thought that maybe the main theme of this year (Twenty Fourteen) would be identical… I have used a lot of great information from these forums towards my troubleshooting…
