Limiting email notifications to new posts.

  Can I send email notifications for new posts without sending notifications for edits to the posts? If I make small changes to a post it seems folks are getting notified of the edits…which is not something I want.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there – your subscribers definitely shouldn’t be getting notifications every time you edit a post, only when you first publish it.

  Would you be able to provide links to two or three posts where this happened?

  Does it happen:

  – every time you edit the post, or only on some of the edits?
  – on every post where you make edits, or only some?

  Can you tell whether all followers receive duplicate emails, or only some?

  Thanks so much for your response. Greatly appreciated. I think I have figured this out. I had enabled folks getting notification when the post changed, thinking this was about new posts. That is now disabled and things are working great. As you might suspect I am totally new to blogging….and this is a journey of discovery for sure.
