Line break on published post different from Visual Editor

  Hi ppl:

  I have a problem with line breaks on WordPress. For example, check my following post:

  http://bluecane.wordpress.com/2013/09/25/the-7-rights-of-your-reality-the-ihsan-theory-of-individuation/

  The following line (in red) appears without appropriate spacing from the line that goes before. It looks unprofessional. However, in the Visual Editor it appears correctly. I have tried to play around with the HTML editor, to no avail – I tried using the
  tag to fix the spacing but it doesn’t work properly.

  “3. Rights of the Mind/Ego/Intellect/Brain (e.g. Learn programming).”

  I hope someone can suggest a solution. I hope there is a permanent fix.

  The red section is full of redundant as well as wrong code (probably because you copypasted it from Word or something like that). You need to switch the editor to Text (=code), remove everything that lies between “in my opinion:” and “Attending to”, and re-work the section.

  If you want a regular paragraph break above and below each item, do it this way:

  […] in my opinion:

  To me, this will create too much blank space; I would suggest you try an ordered list instead:

  wow, thanks justpi for the quick reply! You are absolutely correct, I remember copying this passage into the Visual Editor from Evernote – thats what must have messed it up.

  I have fixed the issue by taking the offending section into Notepad which cancels any code, fixing the line breaks and then re-pasting the section from Notepad into the Visual Editor.

  You’re welcome.
  In the future, never copypaste from other sources into the Visual editor: when you need to paste, paste into the Text editor.
