I post a lot of poetry. Why is it that on my home page on the post previews, words show up next to each other with no space. When you click the post, it looks correct though. For example, on the second post preview on my page, “my” is on a new line, but it previews as “everythingmy”

The “excerpt” option is intended to display a short snippet of standard blog text, but please be aware that it does not work well with non-standard formatting such as poetry, and will remove line spacing and other formatting by default.
You can instead set your blog to display the full post (the full poem) intsead of the excerpt here, under the Content Options tab on the left:
