Line Breaks, Enters, Page Breaks

Don’t use Word. Word is the cause of the problem. If you must use something other than the blog itself, use Windows Live Writer.

Did you follow the guide I linked to above? http://en.support.wordpress.com/xml-rpc/windows-live-writer/

Whenever you compose text in a word processor and then paste it into WordPress (or many other sites!), the invisible formatting that is inserted by the word processor travels over to your WordPress editor window. The best thing to do is to either compose work directly in WordPress, to use a plain text editor, save your Word files as .txt files, or to use the paste as text/paste as Word options within WordPress.com.
In addition to the excellent assistance our volunteers have provided so far, these support documents may also help you:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/microsoft-word/ and

If you have made the changes I suggested above, then go to the bulk Posts editor and set your most recent 20 posts to Private, then set them as Public again. This forces the setting to take effect on them and wherever those HTML errors are, this will fix them.

NONE of these suggesions have worked. Jackiedana, I have been posting on WP for several years, using Word and even when I have had a problem it has been temporary. I am very concerned that now I am unable to write. I have tried even re-typing my poem in to a brand new post and I deleted the old one (which is probably why you didn’t see it jackiedana). NOTHING is working here. Something is wrong with WP. These suggestions should be working. Also, I have tried my laptop which is Word 7, I have tried Vista. I have tried my work computer which is an old old version. The same exact thing is happening on every computer I try. This is a WP issue.

I took a look at the most recent of your deleted drafts for “The Pawn”. Each line has a line break following it as it exists right now.
If you want to force line breaks where there aren’t any, I would strongly recommend you review the instructions here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/writing-and-formatting-poetry/
Beyond that, you can also use the Text editor window to add HTML code directly. Wrapping lines with the paragraph tag will work, or you can use the line break tag.
For example:
<p>This is a line</p> <p>This is another line</p> This line has a line break. <br/>You shouldn’t need to enter your own HTML most of the time, but it can be handy on occasion if WordPress is doing something other than what you were expecting.
