Line breaks, fresh lines

    Hi,

I’ve searched through recent posts on line breaks, but I still can’t seem to get this to work consistently, sometimes the writing creeps up on the side of a column of images. For example, see this page http://briderella.wordpress.com/2010/01/24/blue-teal-green-wedding/

The words “For more teal and blue wedding” has managed to creep up to the side of the second image, because there’s some room there. I’ve tried the <DIV> tag, the <P> tag. I even tried using a “spacer” image. It’s really frustrating. Can someone please provide some guidance?

    I’m using Google Chrome.

    Thanks,

The text wraps around because you’ve set the image alignment to Left. You need no extra html tags: you just need to set the image alignment to None (or Center).

In the html editor: replace “alignleft” with “alignnone” in the image code.
Or in the visual editor: click on image, click edit button (mountain icon), select None, click Update; click Update Post when you’re done with all the images.

I’ve done as you suggested, but it’s still creeping to the side.

Not quite. the alignment of the wp-caption is irrelevant. The “alignnone” (or aligncenter) needs to be part of the img class
    like this:
    <div id="attachment_467" class="wp-caption" style="width:410px;"><img class="size-full wp-image-467 alignnone" title="blue_wedding" src="http://briderella.files.wordpress.com/2010/01/blue_wedding.jpg?w=400&h=600" alt="blue wedding table" width="400" height="600" /><p class="wp-caption-text">Also from Barbara Kua's calligraphy.</p></div>
