LINE BREAKS – I’m a Newbie

I am just new to WordPress. (I used Blogger before but got fed up with all the glitches.)
I’m working on my blog now (eastmeetswestbookclub.wordpress.com), and am having trouble with LINE BREAKS.
When I type in (or copy over) text for a new post, it looks great in the “typing box” or window or whatever. (I don’t use indents for new paragraphs, I use new lines – you know, like a space between the two paragraphs).
But when I PUBLISH the post and view the new blog posting, all those spaces between my paragraphs are gone!
Help!The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

While we’re at it, I’d also like to know the following (I think I’ll have to change it in the style sheet)…
1) The Blog’s Title is all-caps. I’d like to make it not all-caps.
2) The titles of my side-bar bubbles are all lower-case, and I’d like to be able to change that too.Thanks a million!

I had similiar problems and found really great tips here. Just look in the subject index on the right hand side and you’ll find a link to the post on line spacing.

Regadring your questions about the Blog Title and the titles of sidebar Widgets they cannot be changed easily, if at all. If the Blog Title capitalization is coded into the underlying template for the theme you cannot change it. This is because we are all working in a shared environment on the same multiuser blogging platform and all of those who are using the same theme are, in essence, sharing the same template. Consequently, we cannot access and edit templates. Only Staff can as all edits would be manifest on all blogs “wearing” the same theme. I believe changing the titles on the widgets may be possible by purchasing a CSS upgrade and doing the work yourself but I don’t know that for sure. -
