Line breaks without paragraph spacing
-
I’m trying to enter a post and have line breaks without starting a new paragraph. The help page says I should be able to do this by hitting shift + enter, but this doesn’t work for me. I have a Mac and am working in Chrome.

If you are working in the Visual editor, to get single spacing between paragraphs hold the SHIFT key down and simultaneously click ENTER at the end of the paragraph.
If you are working in the HTML editor, a single click of ENTER will give you a single-spaced line, and two clicks of ENTER will result in double spaced lines.

You no longer press shift + enter together. Instead, in html hit enter then type and hit return again. This will give you additional line-breaks. You cannot switch between html and visual as this loses the formatting. I blog poetry – it’s taken me 4 months to get this right!
