I just created my blog, introducing a custom header graphic. There’s a line in itt… how do I get rid of it?

I’m not sure if it’s adding the custom header that’s done it but have you tried re-uploading the header or switching to a different theme and switching back? That’s the first thing I’d try.

If you have a close look at your blog, though, there’s more going on than just that line; your tag widget is going outside the sidebar, there’s another line at the bottom and the footer of your blog is completely out of alignment. I’m wondering, did you upload the header or did you add it by modifying the CSS stylesheet? Sometimes changing something in CSS can impact the other properties.

If it’s not CSS, you might need to contact staff to see if they can help, unless anyone else has any suggestions?

Thanks for the input. I used to blog at blogspot, and they had one template you could go to in order to see the code. I do web sites so should be able to figure out the html and CSS coding… does wordpress have a similar way to work? I’m confused by the “edit CSS” interface under “presentation”.

I deleted some CSS I had pasted in the window, and it solved my problem.
Now I just need to figure out how to add code to the right hand column, (such as badges) and how to have an abbreviated excerpt on the home page which folks could link to if they want to read more.

    Thanks again.

No worries. Glad it helped. :)

To add something like a badge to the sidebar, you can go to Dashboard > Presentation > Widgets and enter the code into a text widget. It’ll work as long as it’s not Javascript or a form, which aren’t allowed on WP.

My code has gone from my widget
