line showing above Home and About page at the same time
-
I’m using the Vigilance theme by The Theme Foundry to create a static website for a museum. I’ve used several other themes to do the same for other non-profits on tight budgets and have not had the following problem: with this theme, when on the Home page, the line shows up above it AND the About page. Any tips for how to get rid of this extra line above the About page?
The site is currently available to the public, but not to search engines until we work everything out – it’s still in draft form, but you should be able to see it. Thanks!

This is an issue with Vigilance. Is the page you have set as a static front page a child of the “about” page?

Thanks for replying. Yes, it is a static front page that I made a child of the About page.

That is what I though.
First edit your static front page and set that page back to parent instead of child.
Second, create a custom menu and then include ONLY the pages you want in the top navigation in that custom menu and make sure and save the custom menu and make sure and select your custom menu in the “theme location” module pulldown and save there as well.

Thank you so much! You made it very easy, and the problem is fixed! Really appreciate it.
