LINE social media/chat platform plugin support?

    Following the suggestion of timethief, I am reposting a query about potential support for the LINE social media/messaging platform that is immensely popular in Japan, Taiwan and Korea.

    I believe a WordPress plugin is available, but not currently supported at WordPress.com. I cannot speak to its reliability.

    Why am I asking? For those of us building WordPress sites for use in East Asia, where we use themes like Dara that support an array of social media hooks, we need to provide our readers with a LINE button. In many ways it is more important than having hooks to Facebook , Pinterest, etc.

    To partly address my own question: two comments.

    1. Perhaps all that is needed is for a LINE icon? In the social media custom links, there are evidently icons tied to links for Facebook, Twitter, etc, but adding a custom link to LINE the default link icon
    2. The “share” LINE plugin appears to be a bit of a homebrew and to have some technical issues

    Apologies for the thread splitting and naive questions – I’m on the steep part of the WordPress learning curve right now. And thanks for following up.

    I am essentially asking for a share capability such that readers can post our site or one of its pages to LINE, just as they can to their own Facebook, Twitter feeds.

    If such capability can be achieved through custom linking, then a set of sized LINE icons (for web/pad/phone) would be all that’s required.
