Linen Theme Comments Box
-
New to WordPress, so apologies if this is a basic question. I have created a WordPress blog for a client: http://alchemycompliance.wordpress.com/. On the Posts page it is not obvious how to make a comment. We have now discovered you have to click on the post title to open the article and then the comment box appears. However, it is not obvious that you need to do this. Is it possible to get the Comment box on the main Posts page or to add some text somewhere which explains that you need to click on the Post title. Thanks for any help! Dave
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The way your theme and blog are functioning is the norm. Unless you use the P2 theme which is a Twitter-like theme, know that the front pages of our blogs “showcase content” and comments are collapsed on that page. You cannot change this. The way the comments function is coded into the core of WordPress. By clicking the post title or the comments link the posts on the front page open on their own page where all comments display.
If you wish you can create text to advice visitors of the reality and display it in a text widget. http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/

Thank you timethief – very useful and “text” widget now applied. My new problem, not that I have specified to display “posts” on the front page, is that my posts now do not appear on the “posts” page. Any advice on how to get all posts to appear on my “Posts” page? Thank you!

You can only set one page to be the posts page. So, if you set the home page as the posts page, then you can remove “Posts.”
