Link an image to another web page?
-
Is it possible to link a picture in a post to another web page? Normally when I click on an image it opens an enlargement of the image … very handy in most instances … but at times I would like to link the pic to a web page (eg. link a catalogue picture to the online catalogue). Can you help??? Thanks!

Before you click “insert into post” put the URL of the web page into the “link URL” field.
If the image is already in the post, click on the image in the editor and then click on the “edit image” icon at the upper left of the image and then put the web site URL into the “link URL” field, click update and then click “update post.”

Hi there, I tried the above but when I save the settings the link just disappears and reverts to the default. Am I doing something wrong?

External links will not be saved.
1. While in the post editor, pull up the insert image window and upload the image, or find it in the media library and click “show.
2. Make your settings and put the link in the “link URL field.
3. Click “insert into post. -
OK, I get you. I have five images, formatted as thumbnails. Is there any way to get them to sit next to each other in one row with spacing, (i.e. as they woul appear if I was using the ‘Gallery’ setting)?. Many thanks indeed.
