link and pages widgets prob

i can not add links and pages widgets in my blog.every time i drag them to the active widgets list box and after saving the settings they are just gone.
anyone can help plz?? -
(1) What is the url for your wordpress.com free hosted blog please?
(2) Can you tell us what your operating system is?
(3) Also which browser and version of it that your are using please?
(4) Have you done this?
Force reload
Depending on your operating system all you need to do to accomplish such a thing is the following key combination:
* Windows:ctrl + F5
* Mac:apple+r
* Linux:f5
(5) Have you done this?
Clear cookies and cache
step 1. log out
step 2. clear your browser cookie
step 3. clear your browser cache/temporary internet files
step 4. close your browser
step 5. log in, go back and test -

i have tried ur number 4 and 5. it didnt work.
i am using windows xp service pack 2

i have tried in IE 6.O ; opera 9.22 and firefox 2.0. each of them gave me the same result.
but i was able to add links widget using IE 6.0 but not the pages widget. -
I use IE7 and firefox 2.0.0.11 and both work very well with wordpress. I know that IE6, Opera and Safari are problematic because information on these can be found in the FAQs and the forum searchbox.
I do not know if it will help or not but, have you considered turning off the extras like snap previews and the falling snow? -> Presentation -> Extras

These are general extras that you can enable for your entire blog.

___Enable Snap Preview Anywhere on this blog
remove the check marks and click “Update Options” -

I’m sorry the things I suggested did not work for you. I’m afraid you will have to wait either for another blogger to come up with additional troubleshooting ideas or, for staff to post their suggestions into this thread.

i have detected the point where the problem was but still in doubt whether i should call it a solution or not.
the primary language selected for my blogging was Bangla. i changed it to English and that time pages widget workd for me!! but unlike other widgets i found no settings box at the rite side of this widget.is it a widget with default settings or i m gonna go thru another prob? :(waiting for the ans…..
