Link / Blogroll / Rss feed
-
Hi!
I´ve been wondering if there is a possibility to “morph” ,or what ever geek word is appropiate, the RSS link to my favorite blogs with my blogroll.
Like it is now, you have to ad a large sum of the RSS widget to your sidebar to get a RSS feed from a blog or a News feed.
Why not use the RSS flow in the link widget?
Or at least make it possible to have , for example, 5 RSS feeds in one widget ?
Thank you for your patient, I do belive someone might asked this question prior to me.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

OOOps, I forgot to ad that I am asking this question due to the ban on javascripts on WordPress.com.
But since we have a few widgets and other gadgets we might be able to get a similar RSS feed widget like a javascript based one? right?!

Please understand that we are restricted to the placement of RSS feed widgets in our wordpress.COM blog sidebars. This is a deliberate choice of Auttomatic and wordpress.com.
Here we are not to allowed to create posts and pages with RSS feed data from other blogs and manufacture “posts” from it. The reason for this is clear. Doing so would be providing the favored tools of blog scraping sploggers (content thieves) and spammers.

I have no intettions to be a content thief, I just want my readers to see my favorite bloggers latest posts,.
The rss widget just gives space for one feed a widget.it would bee nice with at least 3 maximum of 5 feeds per rss widget.
no theft, just showing the latest posts of my favorite bloggers.

Please go here -> Appearance -> Themes and drag and drop and RSS feed widget (Entries from any RSS or Atom feed ) into your sidebar. Then click it and open it.
These are the options for configuration:
- How many items would you like to display? (You can display up to 20 feeds. )
- Display item content?
- Display item author if available?
- Display item date?

What’s more? You can have more than one of these widgets in your sidebar of your wordpress.com blog. So why would you want to also ” “morph” ,or what ever geek word is appropiate, the RSS link to my favorite blogs with my blogroll” ? I don’t get it. Displaying RSS widgets from other blogs is not a shortcut to creating a blog that’s filled with your own unique content.
