Link Blogs to Site
-
My blog, Interstellar Politics is a blog for geek entertainment discussion and news, as well as for political opinion. I was hoping to have the blog separated in two different ways. One section would be Political Opinion, and the other would be Geek News or Geek Opinion. I know I can easily do this via category, but is there any way I can get categories on the front page display (under Settings > Reading, which are the links under the Header)? I’d like to have those links at the top as opposed to just at the top with my Home page (in the works), About page, and a couple of other static pages. I’ll also be using Interstellar Politics to host both political and geek related podcasts and would like to use the top bar under the Header (Home, Posts, About, etc) to link people to blog post categories featuring specific podcast downloads.
Is there a theme or function that allows for that?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Use a Custom Menu and link to the category pages. Your readers will almost certainly never notice it’s a category not a special page. You WILL need a theme that supports a tabbed header, and you can do a search for them in the Themes page of your dashboard.

I take it Custom Menu is something that comes with “tabbed header” themes? I searched “tabbed header” in Themes and got 0 of 0.

Aha. Just noticed the search filters. (Sorry, I am on pain medication, so I’m a little loopy.)

Yeah, I just figured out the whole “menu” thing after reading about it. I was using Twenty Ten. I saw the “Menu” option, but couldn’t figure it out until I read the blog on how to use it. xD
Thanks.
