Link Clicks
-
On the stats page of your Blog, how is it possible that people clicked a Link in your Blog, but the stats don’t show anyone going to that Post?
Two out of the Three Links Clicked today so far are on Posts that don’t show up as being viewed?
And well I’m asking, there are certain Forum Threads that when I Reply to them they don’t go to the top of the Forums? Any info on that would be appreciated as well.
Thanks for all your time

Hello there,
re: stats
Why don’t post/page views add up to total views?
Post/page views are included in total views, but there are many views to your site that are not a post or page URL. The front pages, category/tag/date/author archives, and searches are all examples of other views that only count towards total views. http://en.support.wordpress.com/stats/#additional-infoRe: there are certain Forum Threads that when I Reply to them they don’t go to the top of the Forums
The same thing is happening to me when I post into the Off-Topic Forum threads. If you post a comment and it does not bump the thread then it’s in the spam filter and only Staff can pull it out. -

Yes. If you post a comment into a thread and it does not bump the thread, then log out of WordPress.com which will clear your browser cache and cookies. Then without being logged in view the thread. If you log out the comment you see only when you are logged in will not display when you are logged out. That means the comment you posted is in the spam filter.
So as it’s the weekend and as Staff have disabled the support link you have to wait until early Monday, October 10th (UTC). Then you can use the link http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ After you use the searchbox, under the search results, at the bottom of the page there will be a section that says “Have you found the answer to your question?” You can choose either “Yes I found the answer to my question.” or “No I didn’t find the answer to my question and I would like to contact support for help.” The no option will reveal the contact form.
In the contact form you type an explanation of what has happened and you include a link to the comment that does not display when you are logged in. Note: the comment link is the date link found under “member” in the read right under your username.

P.S. Every time I post into these two Off-Topic Forum threads I’ll post links to below my comments in up in the spam filter. Are they the same threads you are experiencing the same thing in or not?

Thanks for all your time Time, nope the one’s that do it to me are https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/passing-thoughts?replies=53 https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/favorite-seasonyour-current-weather/page/3?replies=73 https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/whats-your-latest-blog-post-about/page/4?replies=87
There may be more but not the two you mentioned, those work fine. Now I did start these Threads, but If I recall it doesn’t do it on all the one’s that I’ve started, so I guess that’s not it.
I’ll try the log out thing right now

Wow, you must be right… Two of them don’t show my Comments beyond October 3rd, and one of them hasn’t shown my Comments since September 18th, that’s terrible
So whenever that happens, I should Notify WordPress like you mentioned above?

That’s about the same timeframe mine stopped being visible as well.
SIGH … We have two choices:
1. Notify Staff every time this happens and wait for them to fish the comment out of the spam filter a couple or more days later.2. Or as the Off-Topic Forum is a chat forum I suppose we could choose not to fret about this and simply not report these irritating and inappropriate “comment in spam filter again” incidents.
-
Oops! There also an obvious additional option.
3. Stop creating threads and/or posting comments into any threads in the Off-Topic Forum.
-
lol, nah, I enjoy the Community too much… Love the Forums
4. Create A Thread Called “Lost Comments” where we can copy and paste comments that have been Spammed, lol

@darkjade68
Great idea provided that when we post into it our comments are visible lol :D -
Ha, trust me, I definitely thought of that. Eh, just trying to up the percentages of our messages being delivered, lol
Thanks for all of your help Time
