Link color and hover color has changed
-
Hi,
When I first took over this blog to edit, the links and hover color was green, and now it is back to the default blue. (Edin theme). I’m not sure how that happened, and it is not a paid version of WP, so we haven’t done any CSS. Why would the links have been green originally, and how can I get them back to green from blue? Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi, @yogicomm,
It sounds like the palette color got changed somehow. Take a look at Customize → Colors & Backgrounds →Click the Palette Button, and in there, there is one that has green settings.
Let me know how this works for you.
For future reference:
All support docs are at https://en.support.wordpress.com/Note: I see this marked as duplicate but don’t see another thread, so responding just in case, since I see the links are still blue. :)

Hi! Yes, it posted twice, it looks like…
Thanks for the response. I have tried changing the palette to green, but it also turns the sides of the page green as well, so I didn’t think that was where the green links were coming from.
If I set it to a green palette, is there a way to change the layout to be full width so there are no green bars on the left and right?

So, is there another thread that I’m missing where someone is assisting you? Maybe I’m ready for the weekend, because I’m not seeing it. :)
To answer your question, yes, Edin has a full page layout option but your sidebar widgets will disappear. I’m guessing you still want to see those?

I don’t find a duplicate forum thread by yogicomm, but given that they are using a custom domain, perhaps it was posted in the dashboard contact us form where it was directed to Support. I’ve removed the tag.

Hi – thanks for helping me! I do want to keep sidebars, but don’t want the sides of my page to turn green when I use the green palette. Just the links and hover colors.

@justjennifer Thank you.
@yogicomm are you being assisted by staff outside of this forum? My next go to would be looking at CSS but if you don’t have the capability and this is something that recently changed on your site, feel free to add the modlook tag to this thread, for staff to take a look.If you do that, be sure to confirm the site experiencing the issue.
How do I get a Moderator/Staff reply for my question?
Some issues require staff member help. If you see or add a thread that you know needs staff intervention, you can add the modlook tag to the tags area of the thread to make sure we see it. -
If you are using the Editor’s text color option to change the link color, it looks like this might be a problem with the WordPress core software itself as reported by Staff in this thread https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/my-blog-suddenly-stopped-letting-me-change-link-colors?replies=16#post-2975788

Thank you all for the replies. I can be more clear – the site I’m having issues with is jtcnutrition.com. When I first started editing this site, I changed the size and position of the banner, the logo, and the menu display. When I first started working on the site, the hover color and link color was bright green, similar to the one that the green color palette in appearance > customize > colors and backgrounds, but the sides of the page were not green, as they are if I change to the green palette.
I didn’t set this site up originally, and the person who did said that the links were always green, not blue, which is the Edin theme default, and what they are now.
I cannot figure out what would have caused the color to change, or how to get it back to green without changing the sides of the page green as well.
Thanks for your help!
Again, the site is jtcnutrition.com

The user I’m working for just has the free wordpress.com account, not the premium, so no way to add custom CSS as far as I know…?
