lInk color not following theme color

    I set my link color to #EC008C and #00AEEF for the hover color in the customizer. All the links on my site follow this rule. I tried creating a new page today and wanted to set a link within a sentence. My link won’t change color. I don’t know if this makes a difference but I set my paragraph text to be white. The link and hover stay white. Any idea why the link isn’t following my default colors?
