Link database
-
I am in the early phase of thinking about converting my blogger blog to WordPress. So far it looks promising, but:
I have a link database linking to webpages with information on a specific topic (study in Australia, for Danes), divided into several under-topics. I want to keep that, but it seems there is no such option. Only “Blogroll”, which I guess I could use if I am allowed to make several “blogrolls” (=in this case, topic links) and give give them names after my choice.
But, how?
It seems “categories” is something else – More like assigning the posts to different kategories, right.
So, do anyone know how I can do it.

A couple of things first:
1) Always remember to use the ‘http://’ bit when you type a URL else you break the link.
2) Don’t use the ‘www’ when you already have three ‘words’ within your URL. 20-30% of folks on the net will not be able to follow the link. (It also breaks the *.com RFCs but that’s getting technical)
But anyway, you can assign your links to different categories as well. Add in these categories like you would for posts. (ie Dashboard -> Manage -> Categories -> Add New) When you add in a link, (Dashboard -> Blogroll -> Add link) you’ll have an option to assign a category to the link. Categories are for both posts and links.
There are ways to export out a link of links (Called OPML) but Blogger doesn’t support this.
Hope this helps,

Thank you for the useful information. I will check the links soon, I just copied them in.
