My setting is public. I’ve had the site up for awhile, and at first it worked just fine. I have a link button set on my phone and that takes me to the site. However when I try to pull it up on my laptop goggle says there are not any matches. I type in the url, no idea what’s going on but I can’t share my site.

Hi there,
It looks like Google hasn’t indexed your site yet. To achieve that you need to frequently publish good content, so that Google can notice your site and start including it in its search results.
Additionally, you can verify your site with Google Search Console, as this might speed up the indexing process.

So my site is not verified by google. I copy the HTML code and past into my google line in the marketing tab. I go back to verify and it fails. I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong if there’s a glitch some place. I’ve tried several times.

Can you share the details of the failure message?
Also, can you ensure the property address on Google Search Console is correct? If your site is

https://www.openpollenpress.wordpress.com/
for example, you may have some trouble that way.

I may have pasted in the wrong place in the line, and then deleted some code. I think that line is all messed up now.

So what do I do with this code? Put it all in the box? Then where do I put the google download code? Before it? After it? In the middle somewhere?

I visited your site settings and I see you have added this code, which appears to be correct from what I can see:
Note: I’ve obscured some of the code for privacy. However, the code itself is the correct format and what we would expect to function correctly in this case.
To clarify, after adding that code you are still seeing an error of some kind in Google Search Console? If that is the case you will need to reach out to GSC support.. I can confirm the code is formatted correctly and entered correctly. If there is an issue at this point it’s with the code itself, and for that they would need to take a closer look.

Thanks for looking into this. I was concerned that I had messed something up in trying to fix the problem, It’s weird. I was able to get a blog post up on facebook, that link works, and I can access the whole site from there. But if I type in the site address, in ether the search bar or the url bar nothing goes through. With the links both working and not working I’m thinking its Schrodinger’s cat toying with my site. Wish me luck in getting a hold of google help.

What exactly are you typing in the address bar in your browser?
If you type
openpollenpress.wordpress.com, it should always take you to your site.Regarding Search Console, make sure you use two browser tabs to verify that:
Open WordPress.com in one browser tab, and Search Console in another.
Copy the code from Search Console, switch to the WordPress.com tab, enter and save the code, then switch back to the Search Console tab, and verify. If it doesn’t work, wait a few minutes then try again.
But do not close the Search Console browser tab until you’ve completed the verification process, as that immediately invalidates the verification code, and next time you open it, it will generate a new code.
