Link doesn't work (links to the wrong page)
-
I’m trying to link to the UI Design page (http://juliekhoper.com/fellowship/) from the Homepage. Even though I changed the link in the html code, it keeps linking to the blog instead (http://juliekhoper.com/2015/11/12/ui-design/). I’ve tried everything. Please help!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi Julie –
Could you first activate the Portfolio option into your dashboard as shown here:
I think that will allow us an easier path to figuring out what’s happening.
Site looks great, by the way!

Thanks for your quick reply!
I don’t have the portfolios option under my Settings > Writing. The images on the page you referenced look like an old design. I only see two fields: Default Post Category drop-box (has only one option ” Uncategorized”) and Default Post Format (bunch of options).

Right. Thanks for the reply.
I’m noticing that all of the items on the homepage are posts like the UI one – showing the url as
http://juliekhoper.com/2012/11/09/wireframes/
http://juliekhoper.com/2012/11/09/ia/Etc.
Is that by design, or are looking to make all of the items on the home page link to pages rather than posts? I see you pretty much have a page and a post for each item.

Yes, I want to link to pages rather than blogs from the Homepage. I need to link to UI Design page (/fellowship) from the Homepage.

From the Homepage, I want to link to UI Design page and User Research page rather than posts. The other links are fine as they are.

Gotcha. I think the issue is that the UI Design and User Research are Portfolio pages, rather than Portfolio posts. It’s not letting you add Portfolio pages into other Portfolio pages.
Do you see the Portfolio menu items in the left hand side now? I think it might be worth it to use that to set up Projects which can then be placed inside Portfolios.
Then you can arrange your pages and sub-pages as you wish. It might be a little work, (Mostly cut-and-paste) but in the end you’ll have an cleaner, easier to navigate site structure.
There is much more detail and instruction in these documents:
I’m happy to answer further questions you might have on this.
