Link for more recent comments

Hi, I really like the recent comments widget but it only shows 15 comments. Is there any way to increase this? I assume not. Is there a non-admin page that shows links for all recent comments (or more than 15 anyway)?
Right now on my blog when it is busy there are more than 15 comments in a day. I check it about once a day. As an admin I can always use the manage comments section to see all the comments, but for people who don’t use an rss reader and who aren’t admins, is there a page that they can see all recent comments–beyond just the 15 shown on the sidebar widget?

I don’t know about the comments. You see there doesn’t seem to be a setting like there is for posts here => Dashboard => Options => Reading

Afraid not. I even think the 15 count is a change because I could have sworn that the previous limit was ten.
What TT is discussing is the comment feed off of your blog here. Not sure where your blog is here at wp.com (That’s a hint by the way :) but if you take your URL for your blog and add in /comments/feed/ after it, it will give you the RSS feed for just your comments.
You can add this into an RSS widget within your sidebar but, IIRC, you can only display a total of ten lines within one of those widget which would be worse than what you had originally. It would allow you though to see the feed yourself and you can suggest it to others. I believe the comment feed kicks out the same number of items as does the posts feed so you can set that to a higher number.
Can’t really come up with a 100% answer for your I’m afraid but there’s something that might work for you.

Ok. Sounds like there isn’t a way to do what I’m looking for (more than 15 comments on the right nav) here at wordpress.com. I assume I could customize this if I left wp.com and went with a wordpress hosted solution somewhere else but not sure I’m willing to take the plunge just yet.

Yup, you can modify the theme code and the widget code yourself if you had the regular wordpress software hosted elsewhere. Can’t do it here as it would be a security risk.
