Link from image to external URL

  Hi – I’m not very techie, but am trying desperately to put an image on a page (not a post) – and then a link to an external website, so that when someone clicks on the image, they go to that site. Is this possible? If it’s simple html, I should be able to manage. Thank you!

  http://en.support.wordpress.com/images/ Specifically after you’ve uploaded your image, open it in the Image Uploader and on the “LINK URL” line, type in or paste the full URL where you want the image to link to.

  Thank you justjennifer. I did try that once before and although it worked when I previewed it, a few days later the link didn’t work at all – the site URL hadn’t changed, but when I looked at the html, some additional code seems to have appeared. I will keep trying. Thanks again.
