Link from 'My Site' to 'WP Admin'/Dashboard missing

  Hi

  When I click on ‘My Sites’ in the left top corner and then scroll down, the last link in the left column is ‘WP Admin’, which brings me to the Dashboard.

  When somebody who is an admin for the same site does the same, the ‘WP Admin’ link is missing, his last link is ‘Settings’.

  Where is his link to the Dashboard?

  Aloha manuschwendener, You can also access ‘WP Admin’ by adding /wp-admin/ to the end of your website address. For example, http://yoursiteaddress.wordpress.com/wp-admin/

  Thank you, Geoffrey, but that can not be the solution. There needs to be an obvious way to get to it.

  You have had an account with WordPress.com for seven years and will still find a wp-admin link below “settings”. Anyone who has set up an account in the last couple of years (since the My Sites/Calypso dashboard was introduced) are unlikely to have a wp-admin link prominently shown on their dashboard. For them the solution is as described by @geoffreyshilling. They need to bookmark the wp-admin link in their browser. Clicking there or in the dashboard is still just one click.

  My admin’s problem is that after clicking on ‘My Site’ in the top left corner, there is no way to get to the dashboard – at least not one we could find (Firefox on desktop).

  To repeat, since the introduction of the My Sites/Calypso dashboard wp-admin is not actively promoted for newer users of WordPress.com.

  They need to bookmark the wp-admin link in their browser. Clicking there or in the dashboard is still just one click.
