Link help please

Okay I use my blog to post my stories and I’ve found it’s easier to just have the whole story on one page sectioned into chapters instead of using posts and having everything spaced out even with tags it’s easy to miss a chapter that way. Anyway I have it all set up and I put chapter pics at the start of every chapter and what I’m trying to do is put a link on the home page of the site for each chapter. Like on the home page will be text that says Chapter 3 you click it and it takes you to the page and down to the pic at the start of chapter 3 of that story. But I can’t seem to make that happen it just goes to the top of the page I want. Can anyone help me figure this out please?

There cannot be any other than single Page URL if you are indeed creating only a single Page not creating separate posts.
