Link icon not highlighted

  The links icon isn’t showing up when I’m writing a new post blog, or when I go to add a link to a current post.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi, the icon is showing up for me when I try writing a new post. Could you take a screenshot so that I can try to figure out what’s going on? Instructions for that are at http://en.support.wordpress.com/make-a-screenshot

  After you’ve taken it, please upload it to your Media Library, and I’ll take a look.

  Thanks for sending that picture. Before you can click on the link icon to create a link, you’ll need to highlight the text that you want to turn into a link. Once that text is highlighted, you can click the link icon.
