link icon not lighting up to create paypal link
-
hi,
i’m trying to add a paypal button to my blog. i’m almost positive that i’m following the directions correctly but the “link” icon doesn’t “light up” for me to put in the link. it actually isn’t lit up in the directions for creating the link either…do you have any idea what to do about this? as a result i can create the button on my blog but not the link.
thanks,
rachel

You’ll need to actually click on the image in your post before the link buttons lights up for use.

Thank you! I was able to do it easily after clicking on the button (seems obvious now).
One question though. When the code is supplied and you’re asked to pick either Website or Email and it says to pick email (counterintuitively) why does it ONLY provide the Email option for the “donate” button and not a “buy now” button? I need people to pay, not donate. Do you know?
thanks!!! -
I’m afraid e-commerce isn’t possible here at WordPress.com.
If you require e-commerce/shopping cart functionality, you might be interested in a self-hosted (WordPress.org) installation. There are no restrictions on e-commerce if you set up a self-hosted WordPress.org blog instead of a WordPress.com blog, but there are some added responsibilities.
Please see this link to learn about the differences:
