Link in a Text Widget – included in "clicks" stats ?

    Hi WordPress staff, I found out the About.me Widget only gives analytics or stats on the number of clicks on one’s customised “About Me” Page if one has purchased the premium package.

    I am wondering if I have a text widget in my Footer with a Link to my About Me page, will the clicks on that link ( via a WIDGET not a PAGE or a POST ) be recorded by the WordPress statistics function?
