link in body of post

  I am new to this and have been having trouble inserting a link into the body of my posts.
  I’ve tried, in ways that usually work on my website and on google stuff… but apparently I can’t do it.
  How on earth does this work?
  Does anyone know? Please help.
  Links are so much less likely to be clicked on if they are not active.
