Link IN CAPTION of photo possible?
-
I would like to add a link in a CAPTION TO A PHOTO to another site where the photo is listed for sale. I know I can link the photo to that site, but is there a way to use a text link in the CAPTION and let the image still link to the uploaded file?
I tried using html in the caption and it was stripped out so I just linked the photo instead on the first image on today’s post (6/24/13). But I’d rather link the caption itself and leave the link to the original uploaded photo.

Hi there, captions do allow link. When you add the link on first embedding the image, it should look something like this:
http://cl.ly/image/3A3Y2F1r2330
Or if you add the caption after inserting the image, it would look like this:
http://cl.ly/image/0L3W371K4627
If you still have trouble, let me know and I’ll be glad to assist further.

Thanks Kathryn,
What I wanted to do was to say something like:
“Pt. Bonita,” oil on panel, 8×10.” Available, click here for purchase info.(with the click here being an active link)
Are you suggesting that if you type the URL in a caption it will be an active link while using html code for a link gets stripped out?
Thanks,

Hi Jana, if you put this into your caption it should work:
"Pt. Bonita," oil on panel, 8x10." Available, <a href="http://www.dailypaintworks.com/fineart/jana-bouc/point-bonita-3/32599">click here</a> for purchase info.Let me know if there’s any issue with it.
