Link in widget referring back to website

  I am trying to add the logo of a sponsor to my website and have it link to the sponsor’s website. Here is the code I am using in a text box widget <a href="targys.com"><img src="https://qacp2.files.wordpress.com/2015/03/tysteestargys.jpg" alt="Targy's" height="50%" width="50%" /></a>

  the link goes to qacp2.wordpress.com/targys.com, if I use “http://targys.com” in the href instead, doesn’t work but tried to go to https://href.li/?http://targys.com

  the website is qacp2.wordpress.com Thanks for any ideas!

  nevermind! Figured it out…. the “http://targys.com” actually did work, my internet connection was the problem.
