Link Issue again
-
Everyone was so helpful on here yesterday about the fact that I couldn’t add links to my post, which I am aware was a common problem recently. So I switched to google chrome and was able to add them…until today. Now I can’t add them again. Does anyone have any ideas? Google Chrome is my 3rd browser attempt in 2 days to fix this and it was fixed and now isn’t. I’d appreciate any thoughts and am willing to try just about anything to fix this.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

It still isn’t fixed but you can use the html feature then switch back to visual….and I received an email back from support, but it was the same suggestions offered here….
-
I did try to at least access the html feature link button and it won’t click to anything, so I can’t even try that. So they are aware of the problem and are trying to solve it? That is good to know, yesterday I saw several responses from them on other posts saying it was fixed, so I’m hoping they are still working on it. I’ve tried all the other suggestions yesterday before switching browsers, thank you for letting me know about the email from them.

I found another way too, to post links. If you have access to a forum, you can post them there, then paste them in to your blog…..

Here’s the link to create a support ticket for Staff http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ After you use the searchbox, under the search results, at the bottom of the page there will be a section that says “Have you found the answer to your question?” You can choose either “Yes I found the answer to my question.” or “No I didn’t find the answer to my question and I would like to contact support for help.” The no option will reveal the contact form. Before you file a support ticket please do the following as it will expedite getting help from Staff. How are you connecting to the internet and to WordPress.com? The way you connect to the internet (mobile, satellite, DSL, dial-up) and to your blog, and how many proxy server jumps etc. it takes to connect can cause problems. There maybe be problems with your ISP and/or with the proxy servers.
Are you using http:// or https:// see http://en.support.wordpress.com/https/
Which browser and version of it are you using? Have your tried clearing your browser cache and cookies? http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clear-your-cache-and-cookies

Sometimes operating system and/or security system updates can cause problems so check for known issues. When you make adjustments to your browser settings — changing privacy settings, deleting cookies or increasing security — you will need to close your window and restart the browser before those new settings become effective.

Do I need to enable third party cookies to add links? If so, yes I have them disabled and can change it. Its not clear from above, I want to make sure i try everything before I contact them. THx

Do I need to enable third party cookies to add links?
Yes. Make sure you have third party cookies enabled. Note that if you don’t want to enable third party cookies for all sites, then adding a rule to accept cookies for *.wordpress.com and see if that works for you.
-
Here’s the reference link I have been searching for. Since you have a mapped domain, please make sure that your browser is set to accept both first and third-party cookies:

Already checked, and they are accepted….I will just wait it out until it’s fixed….as long as I can get the links in by either the html or pasting them in from another site, no problem….

I too can’t add links and I’ve been trying to be patient since it’s been happening for about 2 weeks now. Is it still a site wide problem? The HTML way doesn’t work for me either…

@shelly7644
Have you tried troubleshooting or not? https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/link-issue-again?replies=13#post-691582
This issue appears to be related to browser versions and to enabling third party cookies as far as I can tell. Those of us using Chrome or Firefox who have third party cookies enabled are not experiencing the problem at all. -
Yes I have tried troubleshooting with browser changes and enabling third party cookies but it still doesn’t work…

Hi Shellh,
When you contact Staff do be sure to provide detailed and specific answers to the troubleshooting questions I posted. If you don’t then there will be a back and forth email exchange until Staff get the answers from you. Hello! I posted on another forum but it was closed out stating the problem was fixed. My problem actually has not been fixed. I have been having the same issues: I cannot add links anymore to my site. This has been going on for over a week. I have tried every since browser suggestion to no avail. Here’s the kicker though, I log in to another account I work on through wordpress.com, and I can add links just fine. So, that tells me it’s not a browser issue at all, but rather an issue with my personal blog: bookvacations.wordpress.com
Also, tonight pictures started duplicating on my posts. I have tried to get on to forums concerning this, but every one I find is closed to new replies.
I am getting very frustrated over here… I post everyday and really need this site to work.
Also, I cannot contact staff to create a ticket. Whenever I attempt, the page doesn’t do anything. It won’t even search. This has also been going on for over a week. I am at my wits end.
Is wordpress.com working on these issues, and if so, when can I expect my blog to be back to normal and user friendly?

If you cannot use this link to create a support ticket for Staff http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ then email support@wordpress.com
