Link my profile/blog from another users?

I’ve left a comment on a friend’s site, but when I go to click on my name on their site, it says invalid URL instead of linking it back to my profile or blog? How do I change this?

If you click your username in the forums it’s working perfectly, so I think what you need to do is go to Dashboard > Users > Your Profile and check the address of your blog in the website area. If it’s empty, put the your blog address in there; if you’ve already done that, check it’s the exact address. Even having an unnecessary . in the address can make it invalid.

That’s so weird….Every thing is correct on that end. It’s just weird, because on my friend’s site http://humanpunk.wordpress.com/ I click on my name under recent comments and get :

That’s strange. I see the comment on your friend’s blog; when I look at the address, it’s just http:// – there’s no address in there, which is why the link’s not working. Usually that happens when people haven’t put the address in their profile or they’re using a second profile. But you say it’s there… strange.
Try deleting it out of your profile and saving the changes, then copying the address back into the website area… make sure you click “update profile”. If that still doesn’t work, do you have another browser at all? If you have something like Firefox, see if you can make the change with that… there have been other problems with IE and Safari recently, so it wouldn’t surprise me if they’re causing a problem here too.

When you click on your name, check the url that appears in your browser. Is it correct or not?

That’s odd…
Maybe you could try deleting the address from your profile, save, then reenter the address.
