Link not appearing when I go to publish

Hi Amy,
Thanks for the links. We have had a few other reports of this and are currently looking into it.
-
OK, thanks. Meanwhile, I am publicizing on FB by writing my own posts. I actually think it draws more traffic because people see a personal comment from me first.

Is there a way I can change the publicizing so that it uses shortlink instead of the link?
I want people to see my entire Twitter message
Shortlink showed everything. The full link cuts out parts of the message
Shortlink stays the same. I might change the title or link address and I want people to always be able to get to the post. -
Hi Rahman,
Is there a way I can change the publicizing so that it uses shortlink instead of the link?
Twitter recently changed the way they handle links. All links are now converted to t.co links. As such, regardless of if we pass the full link or the shortlink the t.co link will be used. When this change was implemented we switch to showing the full link as it dosen’t make a difference in the amount of characters shown in Twitter.
As a friendly reminder, in the future please start a new posts instead of asking your question in an existing post.

Thanks. I thought my question fell under this category.
I was wondering if there was a way to change it to shortlink?
Since it changed to full things get cut off.
It doesn’t show the entire Tweet. -

OK, I don’t mind that my thread has been hijacked, but I still haven’t received an answer to MY question—when will the publish to FACEBOOK be working properly? I am still doing it manually because it is still not working. Thank you!

Sorry about the change.
Facebook publication has been working fine for me. It’s been publishing to my page
Check sharing. There might be a mistake there -
What do you mean sharing? It is publishing, but not as a story, just a photo with a link. There is no text from the post, so no one knows why the photo or the link is there.
-
On the post draft page, where you write your post, title, tags, and categories there’s a box called “Excerpt”
Put in what you want to write there.
It might be minimized. Look on the right where choose when to publish your post, choose categories and tags
It’s between “Location” and “Advanced Settings” -
I do not have these options on my blog. There is nothing that says Location or Advanced Settings on the page where my draft appears. I am using the Classic format, not that beep beep format, so maybe that’s why.
At any rate until about a month ago, all posts published on Facebook included the first few sentences of my post. Supposedly someone was working on this problem, but I’ve heard nothing more about it from the staff, so I am waiting for their response.

There was an excerpt box on the old format too. I think it was on the right.
It automatically gave a shortlink and the title. You had to add the description yourself. -
Did anyone come up with a solution to resolve this issue?
I’m also getting the same problem. When I publicize, it posts a photo (which is going into my facebook album) together with a link. Previously, I did not have to have the link and people could just click on the blog post excerpt to go to my blog. Now all that is there is a photo, so I have to leave the link up there instead. Before it looks like this:

(I also noticed my featured image is now framed by black borders which doesn’t look so nice)Hopefully this gets fixed soon…

sherilynlaw, I am sorry that you are having this problem also, but I am also glad to know that it’s not just me and my blog. I have had no help getting this fixed, and it’s been going on for over a month. For now I am posting to Facebook manually instead. I copy the link, paste it into my status, and write an introductory comment. It’s not as convenient, but much better than what happens with the automatic publishing right now.

The Facebook pulling the wrong photo glitch has been reported to our developers. I’ll let you know as soon as I have an update. Note, that at this time we cannot give you a timeline but we are aware of the glitch and looking for a fix.
-
Thanks, bdukes. Of course, it’s not pulling the wrong photo—it’s posting a blog post AS a photo and without any excerpt so people don’t even know it’s anything but a photo. Not good.

So far this problem has STILL not been fixed. I just tried again. It’s now been two months or more. Is anyone paying attention to this problem? How can I contact someone who knows what is going on? Bdukes??
