Link or Export my Blog

    Hi, I am working on a website, sponsored by Network Solutions. I would like to link or export my WordPress blog to my website. I don’t know the difference between link and export or how to do what is appropriate.

    Help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Rosie

    For a link, it would be just that. A link viewers can press and be lead to your blog. Exporting your blog will insert whatever posts you have featured.

    Are your referring to a free hosted wordpress.com blog? If so please post the URL for the blog you are referring to starting with http:// so we can provide the correct advice.

    wordpress.com blogs cannot be embedded into websites. Only wordpress.org installs can be embedded into websites.

    If you are referring to a wordpress.com blog then you can export your blog contents our of your wordpress.com blog in two separate files and import those files into a wordpress.org install. I do not know if your Network Solutions website is a wordpress.org site or not and you haven’t provided the URL for that site either.

    The first XML file will contain your posts, pages, comments, custom fields, categories, and tags. http://en.support.wordpress.com/export/

    The second file will contain only your blogroll links http://en.support.wordpress.com/blogroll/import-export-links/
