link population of an article
-
How many links to my website am I allowed to make within one of my articles?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

There is no maximum limit but if a Google bot experiences more than 100 links on any page in any site they conclude they are dealing with a link farm ie. a spam site.

Hi timethief;
Thank you very much for your reply, which is very much appreciated.
I was just thinking of one or two maximum three links when I write an article and depending on the length of an article about a certain subject and might refer to a certain product of mine.
I don’t want to be chastised by the WordPress team and or have any repercussions of what I am doing. It is for this reason that I would like to make sure of what is allowed and what is not.
I thank you very much for getting back to me so fast and would very much appreciate for you to reply again to asure me that I am on the right truck.
Best regards,

I’ll tag this thread for a Staff response. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.
While you are waiting you may want to read what’s at these links:

I have 36 links in one of my articles. If you are constantly linking to a product you sell, however, you are wise to ask for staff opinion.

Hi timethief;
Thank you for your reply and you state “a single thread for any single issue”, do you mean a single thread is a single link? I do not understand the word “THREAD”. What is a thread?
Best regards,

keep in mind that you have already upset the folks that help in the forum with your spam posting on rocking horses
-
Since I flagged that blog for posting spam in the forum, I’m relatively sure you should be hearing from staff fairly promptly.
-
How can my article about rocking horses and baby rockers be spam posting? I do not understand at all. It is just a plain article about rocking horses versus bay rockers!
Please explain very thoroughly as I would be afraid to put anything on WordPress in the future. -
Hi raincoaster!
Why would you flag my article as spam? You certainly have me at a loss? I would very much appreciate your explanations as I am very new at this blogging game.
Thank you,
bariebel -
Because you put it in the WordPress.com technical support forum, not on your blog. These forums are not here for your self-expression or product postings.

Hi raincoaster;
Yes, I noticed that wanted to delete it but, plus I tried to get it on my blog as I was on the wrong page. Then I could not find a delete button. I wanted it on my blog but like I said I made a mistake. I think I deleted it now – I hope so – not sure as the whole lot is so confusing. In the meanwhile I found the button of how to put it on the blog. I have not done these things for a year as I was out of commission with cancer and I am just trying to get back into it. Plus I never was much good at it anyway.
I am glad you are the expert and keep me straight.
Thank you,

There is no limit to the number of links you can include in a post or page, provided that the links are contextually relevant and are not designed as SEO boosters for other sites or otherwise something that would be considered spam.
