Your theme, Pique was designed especially to create a one-page scrolling website. If you set to see a static page as your front page, it will not display the header image on top – just the featured image for that page.
I’ll suggest that you either change a theme to one that allows you to display the header image across all sites, or try to set up Pique as explained here:
