link protocol?

  Does one ask for permission to link before just adding one to a blog? What’s the protocol? (If any.)

  do you mean permission to link to other blogs and sites??
  If so, then I never ask permission. There’s no protocol as far as I’m concerned. Though, I had people link to my blog that I didn’t like, but nothing I can do nor would I want to. Just don’t get upset if you get a hostile comment about misrepresentation of views lol

  I feel kind of weird linking to a site without the site owner’s knowledge or consent, so I thought I’d ask what others do.
