Link provided in email not taking subscribers directly to the blog

The link to the email provided to subscribers notifying them of a new post isn’t taking them directly to the post. Copying and pasting the URL in the address bar isn’t working, either. How can this be fixed? The URL provided in the email is: https://theoutlookfromhere.wordpress.com/2017/04/10/peanut-butter-perfection/

Look at those two URLs and notice the different date.

HI there,
It looks like you published that post, then changed the date and updated it. Updating the publication date of a post changes the permalink, so the original permalink that was sent out via email won’t work any more.
The only way to prevent this is to not change the publication date after you publish the post. There is no way to update the link in the email once it’s out, and you cannot send multiple emails for the same post.
If you change the post’s publication date back to 10 April, the link in the email will work again, but the https://theoutlookfromhere.wordpress.com/2017/04/12/peanut-butter-perfection/ link will stop working.
