Link question
-
Hi,
I do reviews of toys and comics and have a specific online store which i use. I don’t get any money for clicks or any discounts, but do put links to thier site to get the toys i review. i know you can’t do ads which you get paid for but is this a problem? -
This is something you should probably run by staff as the volunteers here in the forum cannot speak for them. You can contact them M-F 9am-5pm PDT using the “support” tab in the upper right-hand corner of your dashboard, or by going here: http://wordpress.com/contact-support/

One question i have links in my reviews should take them down till i find out or do you think that is ok
-
That’s a good question. If Mark (staff) pops his head in the forums, he might post an answer this weekend. I’d leave it till you bring it up with staff.
-
I’d take them down. Right now.
But that is just my opinion. You get stuff because you link to a specific site. It’s hard to interpret that to NOT be a violation of the Terms of Service, and it’s much easier to edit those links than it is to lose your blog and try to rebuild it.

Raincoaster is right on – take the ads down before you lose your blog. Please read the advertising policy below and note that if you want a monetized blog that drives business to another website then you can hire a web host and have him download free-standing software from http://wordpress.org but you cannot do that here at wordpress.com as raincoaster has told you.
Terms of Service
Also Section 2, 5th bullet of the ToS that you agreed to to get a blog here makes it clear that you cannot use a wordpress.com blog to drive traffic to third party sites. http://wordpress.com/tos/Adsense and other Ads

Yeah i get the whole making money off of links thing. I don’t get anything special from the site, no dicounts, no promotions, and nothing free, its really just to let people know where i shop and my view on that store.

Your blog appears to be designed to direct people to purchase merchandise at a particular shop. That’s amounts to advertising and driving traffic to that shop. But volunteers do not make decisions on such matters only staff do and as I said above:If you’re not sure, contact support during support hours on weekdays using this link http://wordpress.com/contact-support/

Thanks for all the advise i will talk to support tomorrow about this issue if anyone has a second i took down the links does it look ok?
