  I have a film blog in which I review films, I also have director blog entries. In the director entry I have linked the film review entry. When I did this a comment appeared in the review entry which links to the director entry. I appreciate the sentiment of this function however how do I change the settings on my blog so that this automatic linking back does not appear as a comment but rather a handy link somewhere closer to the actual post?

  That’s not really configurable. Most savvy readers will recognize a pingback and be able to track from one post to the other if they wish http://en.support.wordpress.com/comments/pingbacks/
